Surfhistory.com Offers Pocket Size Surf Cinema
May 15, 2006-(Solana Beach, CA)- For the first time, Opper Sports Production's most popular surf titles will be available for purchase and download to iTunes. Web-users can now download episodes of the groundbreaking series, Long Board TV, directly from surfhistory.com to their computers, iPods and PSPs.
The premiere season of Long Board TV ($2.99/episode or $29.95/season), is being offered on a "buy once, watch forever" model, which allows users to purchase videos without expiration and keep them as long as they wish.
"Its always exciting to be able to take advantage of technology and create new ways for people to enjoy surfing and surf cinema," said producer Ira Opper. "This gives us a chance to get our work in the hands, literally, of a large portion of surfers."
In addition to Long Board TV, Opper Sports is releasing several full-length feature surf-films in the same "buy once, watch forever" format. Among them are Opper's Wordz and Super Slide, as well as a collection of 70's films including A Sea for Yourself and Skateboard Madness.
Long Board TV is the first and only international TV series devoted exclusively to longboard surfing, all 9' plus of the sport. Hosted by Wingnut, star of Endless Summer 2, Long Board TV airs on Fox Sports digital network, FUEL TV.
For the last twenty years, Emmy-award winning sports producer Ira Opper and his production team have traveled the globe to capture the action, personalities and the culture of surfing.
